To enhance regional adventure tourism and trail-based activities, RTD is working on a new Destination Zone portfolio, a transformative digital platform to make regional destinations more accessible and well-managed. We will see the trail and tourism destination development project through from start to finish – from strategy development to professional on the job training for local and regional key players. Our new digital infrastructure allows local businesses to reach a wider audience, enhancing their visibility and market potential.

The NBN empowers local businesses to showcase their services and compete on a larger scale, democratising access to digital tools that were once out of reach for many small operators. Destination Zone will be a a digital marketplace that uncovers new tourism markets by highlighting hidden gems and unique local experiences.
Safety & Tracking
We are developing a tracking system to gather data, enabling trail managers and businesses to make informed decisions about that trigger trail alerts, improve trail sustainability, optimise maintenance, and demonstrate ROI through increased tourism spend, enhancing both the visitor experience and regional visitor economies.
