Rocky Trail Destinations is created by a team of passionate entrepreneurs and travellers, bicycle enthusiasts and experienced event managers who are dedicated to making trail-based and bicycle holidays accessible for people of all abilities with all kids of trail activities as well as recreational cycling, mountain biking or following historic rail trails on two wheels in mind.
Having lived in 5 states and travelled across the country multiple times, Joe has been involved as organiser, racer, volunteer in everything from Downhill MTB to Road cycling. Joe considers himself fortunate to have been exposed to the highest levels of cycling organisation and cycling industry in Australia, Europe, New Zealand and the US, including UCI MTB World champs, National MTB Champs, The Herald Sun Tour, UCI Tour Down Under, various State level events, all the while enjoying new and character filled towns and regions.
These days Joe prefers multi-day, medium distance adventures with groups of mates, discovering new towns and trails, staying in local accommodation and selflessly 😉 giving the local pubs and cafes some business as they pass through or settle in for an overnight.
Now, Joe combines his passion for the Bike Economy and Regional Development as a Director of Rocky Trail Destinations, helping destinations across Australia to understand, embrace and sustain visitation from a wide variety of active and eco-tourism seekers. Joe maintains several committee positions with local cycling clubs, volunteers as a mechanic for annual charity rides through regional Australia, is an MTBA Commissaire, a committee member of the Australian Sports Diplomacy network and is one of the founders of the Australian Museum of MTB.
Martin Wisata is one of the co-founders of Rocky Trail Entertainment Pty Ltd, which is now the only private mountain bike events promoter in Australia who runs events across the entire annual calendar and in four states NSW, VIC and QLD and the ACT. Rocky Trail Entertainment has delivered a wide variety of mountain biking events, including cross-country endurance, downhill, four-cross, dual slalom and launched the enduro-style of racing in Australia in 2012, which has evolved into the fastest-growing gravity racing series in Australia. In recent years, Rocky Trail have specialised in delivering competitive events for the amateur mountain biking and cycling market and the business is expanding into Queensland and Victoria in 2020.
Juliane has a degree from the Austrian IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems in Export-Oriented Management with focus on international law, logistics and marketing. As a proud alumni, since 2012 she has been teaching Entrepreneurship at the university to Bachelor students in the Tourism and Leisure Management Study Course at campuses in Krems/Austria, Baku/Azerbaijan and Sanya/China. Juliane has a strong skill set in the development and execution of strategic marketing and branding campaigns. She runs a communications consulting business for key clients in the cycling events industry, supporting them with PR services as well as securing and managing major local and state event funding streams.
As a Director of Rocky Trail Destination, Juliane is passionate about regional destination and sustainable tourism development in Australia and keen to activate her global business and social network to develop exciting concepts for clients to not only increase visitation with a wide variety of active and eco-tourism seekers, but also to support regions to nurture existing and attract new residents to build stronger and thriving communities.

As the university’s Alumni Ambassador for the Asia-Pacific Region he holds a lecturer position, teaching Entrepreneurship to Bachelor students in the Tourism and Leisure Management Study Course at campuses in Krems/Austria, Baku/Azerbaijan and Sanya/China.
As a Director of Rocky Trail Destination Martin Wisata combines his tourism and leisure management background with his passion for cycling. He is a very strong project manager with thorough financial and operational skills. His passion is destination management and has become a very active opinion leader for cycling event and trail-based activities, land management and destination development in Australia.
