INCLUSION, DIVERSITY & ENGAGEMENT – not just talk, but lots and lots of action. With Mogo Trails, our sister company Rocky Trail Destination creates a trail network for everyone is not an accident, it’s many many years in the planning.
The social and community impacts of curated eco-system can not be underestimated. Mogo Trails was designed and is currently built with events of local, regional, state, national and international scale in mind.
From day 1, we’ve worked with locals, businesses, cultural groups and government groups, and the goal was EVERYONE, from every background and every financial sector can ride.
That means
- White trails. They are very important for the very young, very old and less abled. It also means that there is no dangerous overlap on greens, where faster riders may create issues
- Female influence and testing, at every age group. We envision parents riding with their children, and that also means trails where you can see your child, you can keep up and they can have fun. Our Founders Juliane and Martin Wisata have been head testers with lil Cosmo up front! Based on testing and input from female riders, we’ve added more areas of ‘pure flow’ where riders can grow skills and not be surprised by janky features
- Adaptive, wherever we can. Adaptive trails need big radiuses on berms, and a limit on the gradient to ensure the bikes go around without issue. If you’ve seen images of the trails, big open berms are throughout the network to ensure everyone can ride
- Lots of and lots of young rider age trails, learning features and places for parents to take the kids
- Huge support of local business and community. Rocky Trail Destination has been working with the local council and ‘Ride Ready Eurobodalla’ led by Eurobodalla shire council. Please search the council site, it has a huge range of resources, this is a amazing start if you are considering commerce in the area once the trails are launched
- Trails where you can advance. Part of keeping a trail network safe is to ensure distribution through the trails, and no single trial gets the majority of the traffic. We’ll have it all from beginner to pro.
