Sea Otter 2026: A 35-Year Vision. A New Southern Home.

From Monterey to Batemans Bay: The Torch is Lit.

There’s a reason Sea Otter is the “Who’s Who” of the cycling world. As the world’s cycling family gathers in Monterey this week for @seaotterclassic, we’re reminded that this brand was built around a simple but powerful vision – to be the heartbeat of an entire industry.

Our crew is on the ground at Laguna Seca with a profound sense of pride and responsiblity to continue the legacy that’s been built on 35 years of of authenticity, community, and the simple joy of being on two wheels. When we first sat down to discuss bringing Sea Otter to Australia, our promise to the founder was simple: we will protect that legacy. We will honor that spirit.

In 2025, we saw that spirit ignite in Batemans Bay and proved that the Sea Otter heart beats just as strong in the Eurobodalla as it does in Monterey. We saw the same smiles, the same participation-first inclusivity, and the same industry-shaping energy that makes the original so iconic.

To our “Big Cousin” in the Northern Hemisphere: we’re here soaking up the vibes, connecting with the global team, and carrying that fire back to the NSW South Coast. Sea Otter Australia isn’t just an event on the calendar – it’s the new Aussie home for the cycling soul.

From the action on the trails at Mogo Trails and Narooma MTB to the event hub races, the inspiring Summit, the massive expo and the community that comes with it, we’re creating something the whole Australian cycling world can call its own. 2026 is going to be something special.
